Nepal Theological College is the oldest theological college in Nepal began in 1978. Most probably in 1978, there were about 500 Christians all over the country of Nepal and main concern for the church was evangelism and discipleship. So the school was meeting the immediate needs of the growing church by providing one year training and eventually two year training for many years.
From July 2007 the college has began a 3 year Bachelor of Theology Course. There is a plan to increase the student body to 200 in the coming years as there is great need of the workers for the harvest. In order to meet the challenges of the growing church as well as to equip people for the ministry, we need to develop college infrastructure where facilities to accommodate 200 students will be available.
We are in the process of developing the library, a Men’s Hostel and a Women’s Hostel, and a Faculty and Staff Quarters for which, we have estimated the financial need of one million US Dollars. Please join with us in prayer for this great venture. Thus, we may be able to fulfill the command of Christ to disciple all nations. If you are interested in this plan of preparing the leaders for the Kingdom of God, please pray and contact us. If you would like to contribute to the NTC Building Fund, please email Principal Bal Krishna Sharma.
The College tries to provide scholarships to needy students. Since the College has very limited resources, it tries to encourage churches, organizations, friends and well wishers to sponsor a student and/or contribute to the general fund of the college. We are praying for the establishment of an Endowment Fund for the College in order to provide scholarships for the needy students. If you would like to contribute to the NTC Scholarship Fund, please email Principal Bal Krishna Sharma.
